Christmas means Joy: The Psalmist proclaimed
In His Presence is Fullness of Joy” and he longed for that presence. Christmas means God became flesh and dwelled among men and we beheld His Glory as God changed from a faraway deity into a present with us Savior!
No wonder we celebrate with such Joy.
Christmas means life: Christ came so that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). This abundant life is ours because
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Life was God’s gift at Christmas.
Christmas means Peace:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14).
The cradle led to the cross where the bondage of sin was broken by the shed blood of Christ. Because of Christmas we can now have peace with God and the peace of God. Peace was the present of that manger laid Messiah. Take the baby out of the cradle and put Him in your heart today. Christmas is joyous beyond words when you let the reason for the season become the savior of your soul and the Lord of your life. And you will find this will turn Christmas from a “happy holiday” into a “Merry Christmas”.
