Be Needed, Not Needy
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, Philippians 2:3-5 ESV
If you were not in your circle of people anymore would you be missed? Would your family miss you? Would your friends miss you? Would your church family miss you? We are all “replaceable” by the Lord. He doesn’t need us, but He chooses to use us. People do and should need you. Unfortunately what I see far too often is Christians being some of the neediest people for all the wrong reasons. Are you a servant for the Lord Jesus or are you still being served? Do you look for opportunities to serve others, or do you wait to be served? I want to be someone who turns people to the Lord because I love and serve them like Jesus would. I serve because I love Him, not out of obligation. I fail miserably but my heart is to serve the Lord and others because He redeemed me when I don’t deserve it. “Well done” is what I long to hear my Savior say. Love y’all.
