Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Father – why do WE feel so lonely?

Hey Ya’ll it’s Lizzie with Women In The Word. Today we are looking at the scripture  John 14:16

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another helper, who will stay with you FOREVER.”

John Milton once said “Loneliness was the first thing that God’s eye named not good. ”
Mr. Loneliness isn’t just gonna walk up to go kiss you on the cheek and scream you will be okay. When our One True King isn’t out Savior it is a type of loneliness that steals your joy, chokes your happiness, and robs your spirit.

I feel we can be in a room full of people, but somehow still have a void. Most of you know my husband works a very demanding job – which requires us to be apart more than we would like. At times loneliness creeps in and at that moment I turn to my Bible, prayer, my current bible study, or a good podcast.

God created us to have a relationship with Him. So if we are missing a relationship with our Great Father we are incomplete. Only the depth of God’s love can fill the empty hole in our hearts.

As a society we have taken business to a entire new level, and because of business we do not grow spiritually.

Let me challenge you to make God your top priority. He will never leave nor forsake you – for He is our Rock and our Refuge for who we can find comfort, protection, and peace.

We make time for what we value most. Where is YOUR value?

  1. My value is definitely my family but as I grow in my relationship with God I am more easily leaning on him for comfort I use to find else where. I am thankful for your blogs Lizze.. You’re very encouraging to me.
