Hey Ya’ll this is Lizzie with “Women In The Word.”
I want to be the woman who God looks at and smiles and says YES – YES – YES… that’s a woman I can count on.
John 17:10 says
All I have is yours. And all you have is mine.
The bible tells us we are His. We are not alone. We are favored. We are worthy. We are a child of the One True King and that seals the deal for me.
Is God really saying these things about us? After all we have all failed Him miserably and disappointed Him. We may have even denied Him without recognizing it. Yet I am still His and He calls me child. Thank you Lord for grace, forgiveness, and mercy.
Which leads me to think of Peter who denied Jesus not once but three times. I can only imagine how Peter, who was one of God’s followers must have felt. How many times have we denied Him? Just thinking about it makes me extremely sad, unworthy, and weak.
Like Peter we have denied Jesus, caved, and crumbled into a million pieces… but here comes the best part of the story, and where grace arrives. Jesus was stronger than our sin too. Don’t allow Satan, the father of lies, to rob you of the beautiful future God has in store for you. You have been redeemed.
So… If Peter’s failure did not define Him, our sin will not define us. Bring your cares, worries, sin, and burdens before our Savior. Lay them at the foot of the cross. Pick up your crown and place it on your head. You are His, and He loves saying “She is MINE. ”
