No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

New Year, New Me

Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”

I was recently asked if I was going to make any New Years Resolutions, and to be honest I’m still considering it. In the past I’ve made a few, kept a few, and broken a few – so this year if I decide to make a few they will be quite different from those in the past. Oh well I’m making a few now 😃

My first resolution is to put God first in all areas of my life. Ladies, I long to love the Lord with ALL my heart, my soul, and all my strength. Do you? I’m going to pray to Him to reveal the things that really matter and what doesn’t – and for the strength to strive to make realistic goals that are attainable and Christ-worthy. (Lord I’m gonna really need you to help!) AND after all, isn’t it how you plan your goals that can make the difference between success and failure?

Secondly, to have faith the size of a mustard seed. Matthew 17:20 “Because you have so LITTLE faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move NOTHING will be impossible for you.”

Ladies, a mustard seed is very, very, very tiny, but don’t underestimate its value. Once planted, it grows into a plant large enough to provide an excellent food source and shelter for animals. So, let’s choose to focus on the meaning of the word faith, and leave behind our fears, frustrations, and failures – and know that by FAITH you will NEVER fail.

If you are considering setting a few goals for yourself be very honest and specific. Don’t put extra pressure on yourself, after all we have our share of that and more.

I would love to hear a few of the resolutions you have made for this year and remember – it doesn’t take a huge amount of faith to meet your goals – only the size of a mustard seed ❤
