Do Not Worry

Hey ya’ll it’s Lizzie with Women In The Word and today our topic is “Do Not Worry.” In Matthew 10:29-31 it says “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside of your Fathers care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered so don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Friends are you always thinking and worrying about something? In your mind you just always know that things are going to spiral out of control and go wrong, or not as planned? I completely understand and can relate perfectly. To be honest I worry, I pray, I give it to God, I worry some more more, I read scripture, but I still worry and ask myself “What’s wrong with me?” To take it one step further, in my mind I am the queen of worry, without being crowned of course. The one thing I’m missing is a big, beautiful, flashy crown itself. But who needs that type of crown anyway? Let me stop right here, right now, if only for a moment and give it to God. After all He knows my needs before I ask.

Let me challenge each of you to stop worrying and fretting, and over-thinking everything. If our heavenly Father’s eye is on the sparrow, taking care of the birds, how much more is He gonna care for us? Women in Christ let me challenge you to remember the sparrow this week. Spread your wings and soar. You are much more than the birds in the sky. Gods got you covered I promise.

  1. Since I have ” Gave it all to God,” it has been easier than I thought not to worry ab things! The first thing I noticed with that is the bad thoughts that used to keep me up ab my daughter’s passing, God completely took the bad out of my memories and caught me up on some sleep! I can always tell when the Lord is behind my sleep. I have insomnia BAD, VERY BAD, but it has been a while now that it is what keeps me up. One night I only slept 2hrs but it was the best 2 hours I’d ever slept bc it felt like I slept 12 or 14 hours. It’s always amazing when God steps into the way of a storm so you notice he’s in control. I love it, I don’t know why I waited so long to trust in the Lord and TRUELY SEEK him! It makes so much of a difference that people just don’t realize, until they want better and do it!!
